EMPF Preview: from a niche problem to a product people buy

If you use a eufyMake UV printer, Windows File Explorer shows only generic grey icons for your .empf project files. EMPF Preview replaces them with useful thumbnails, quick previews and PNG export, all running locally on your computer.

EMPF Preview is a small, focused Windows utility for owners of the eufyMake E1 UV printer. It adds thumbnails for .empf project files in File Explorer, quick local previews, a plug-in for the Seer preview tool, and PNG export through the interface or command line. Everything runs locally; nothing is sent to a cloud service. It is available from the English-language product website empfpreview.com for a one-off payment of €5.

From problem to product

Start small. See it through.

The idea came from a problem raised in the eufyMake community: people could not tell their own project files apart. I followed the approach described across this site, building the smallest working version before expanding it. It is now a complete product, with a documented product website, Stripe checkout and automated delivery. Search engine and AI assistant visibility follow the same approach as Content & AI visibility.

One name, two roles

EMPF Preview is sold internationally under the Agima Software name, shared with my own Agima CMS and Agima 7 Holding B.V. Agima CMS is the content management system and framework I have developed since 2000. Agima Software is the name under which I release standalone products such as EMPF Preview.

Why it matters

A product with paying customers

What this demonstrates. The complete product cycle on a small scale: spotting a problem, designing a solution, building it, releasing it, taking payment and supporting it. Customers are spread across the world, with delivery and administration handled automatically.

How it relates to my services. EMPF Preview is a compact example of taking an idea to a proof of concept: the same approach I use for clients, taken from start to finish at my own risk.
