Agima CMS: a foundation built on since 2000
When I started my business in 2000, I built my own content management system and framework: Agima CMS. Building it myself was the best way to understand how the web really works.

The approach
A new editor on a proven foundation
Agima CMS is my own content management system and web foundation, developed continuously since 2000 and still in daily use by clients. Some of those relationships span more than ten years. The editor has recently been thoroughly updated, bringing content, discoverability, images and publishing into a clear workspace.
The screenshots show the current editor with public content from this website. Select an image to enlarge it.
Editing
A clear view of your pages
The page tree sits on the left, with the selected page on the right. Tabs for content, search and sharing, images and settings keep related tasks together. Text can be edited visually or in source view.
Previous versions lets you recover earlier content. View changes compares your work with the last saved or published version, where available. Saving stores your work in the CMS; publishing remains a separate step.
Search and sharing
Content and presentation in one place
The Search and sharing tab manages the title and description used by search engines, with an immediate preview of the search result. Social media text and images are managed here too.
Where enabled, Markdown, structured data and AI suggestions are also available. You can work on the content and how it is found and shared from the same page.
Media and files
Documents and images, organised
The Media area organises images and documents into folders. Upload files, find them again and use them on your pages. The Images tab brings image selection into the page itself.
Preview
See the page before publishing
The Preview tab, beside Visual and Text/source, shows the whole page within the editor, including changes you have not yet saved. You can return straight to editing or open the preview in a new window.
Opening a preview neither saves nor publishes anything. You decide when to save and when to go live.
Why it matters
Experience built over time
What this demonstrates. It demonstrates both technical experience and a long-term commitment to maintaining what I build. My work with AI rests on that foundation: the engineering came first.
How it relates to my services. Agima CMS is the foundation for everything I have built since, from web applications to AI tools. Read more about that background in About Michel.
